Dry and breezy conditions continue this week with periods of critical fire weather conditions possible in areas with cured fine fuels. The breeziest day is expected on Wednesday which could also present boating hazards across area lakes. Otherwise expect seasonable weather through the weekend with generally dry and breezy conditions.

TRUCKEE RIVER CONDITIONS

Total streamflow across the Truckee River was last observed at 4,621 cfs, and is expected to yield approximately 9,165 acre-ft of water today; about 124% of normal. River levels are high. The average streamflow for this time of year is 3,719 cfs, with recent peaks last observed on 2017-05-06 when daily discharge volume was observed at 62,940 cfs.

Maximum discharge along the river is currently at the Truckee R A Farad Ca reporting a streamflow rate of 520 cfs. However, the stream gauge with the highest stage along the river is the Truckee River Nr Tracy with a gauge stage of 7.01 ft. This river is monitored from 13 different stream gauging stations along the Truckee River, the highest at an altitude of 6,235 ft, the Truckee R A Tahoe City Ca.
