Elements Mountain Company is a year-round home maintenance company.   We are a large provider of all forms of snow removal, paint/stain, asphalt seal/stripe/patch and defensible space/tree service.  We have a friendly, fun office in Tahoe Donner. We are looking for someone to join our team who has a variety of office skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handle customer issues/complaints and provide appropriate solutions; follow up to ensure resolution and ultimate customer satisfaction
  • Go the extra mile to engage customers and prospects, and turn them into raving fans
  • Accepts customer orders and requests via phone call, fax, or email.
  • Enters customer data, orders and payments into the FM system while ensuring that all information is entered correctly according to company procedures, and in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains a high level of communication with customers and staff as necessary.
  • Assists HR manager with staff questions and policies
  • Performs any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

Fleet Manager

Job Description:

This is a high level, year round position.  It is designed to be 40% office work and 60% training/mechanic work.  The correct candidate will also be able to work independently in the field.  Must be available to work for extended shifts and on weekends and holidays (winter months), when needed.

Vision & Planning (In collaboration with our Director of Operations)

  • Implement a Department Vision, Strategy & Plan
  • Set annual goals
  • Set quarterly goals
  • Facilitate regular dept. Meetings
  • Hold shop supervisors accountable for production
  • Collaborate with managers to formulate & implement P & P
  • Participate in budget preparation & expenditure monitoring

 

Admin & Personnel:

  • Recruit needed employees
  • Perform prospective employee interviews
  • Hire new employees
  • Ensure appropriately sized crews for work level
  • Conduct PIP or regular Walk & Talk review with Managers
  • Discipline employees, including write-ups and termination

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description:

 

This is a full time year around position with pay depending on experience. Health, retirement benefits, and PTO after qualifying period for a mechanic ninja who wants to join our staff of 4-5 mechanics.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on various types of equipment, provide quality control standards while maintaining a high level of equipment readiness. Work with minimal supervision, maintain a safe and clean work environment. Must be available to work for extended shifts and on weekends and holidays (winter months), when needed.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of experience with heavy equipment and automobiles.
  • Diesel and gas engine, hydraulic, transmission and electrical experience required.
  • Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing all types of equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication skills needed.
  • Strong verbal and written skills as well as an ability to work well with others.
  • Clean driver’s license required.
  • Physical exertion required, including walking, standing, bending and lifting heavy parts.
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Experience with a Fleet management and inventory system a plus

Defensible Space Operations Manager

Job Description:

This is a high level, year round position.  It is designed to be 80-90% in the field and 10-20% office /prep work.  Depending on the winter,  we will run our Defensible Space department year-round.  The correct candidate will have to be willing to work with one of our other departments if there is not field or training work due to weather conditions.

 

Specific job responsibilities for this position

 

Experience / Daily Activity:

  • 3 years in the tree service field
  • Tree climbing experience – 1 year minimum
  • Ability to run multiple crews
  • Organized and prepared to start crews in the morning

 

Personnel:

  • Recruit needed employees
  • Perform prospective employee interviews
  • Hire new employees

 

Operations:

  • Procure materials, supplies & equipment
  • Maintain proper inventory levels
