JAIME LEGARE, President, CEO and FOUNDER
As the President and CEO of Elements Mountain Company, I am deeply rooted in the Truckee Community, where I was raised. My commitment to community service is evident through my support of local events and youth sports, as well as my role as a consistent donor to the Tahoe Giving Fund. Inspired by my parents, who established Waltman Construction and set a high standard for community involvement and snow removal services, I strive to continue their legacy. Under my leadership, Elements has expanded its range of home services, and I am dedicated to fostering a family-oriented approach in all our endeavors, ensuring that we contribute positively to the community we cherish.
JULIE PETERSON, CFO and Controller
With over 25 years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Controller and Human Resources Director, Julie has contributed to a diverse array of businesses. Her career has emphasized fostering environments that prioritize a strong work ethic and deliver quality services. Julie understands that a successful organization thrives on collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to excellence and she, therefore, works toward those goals every day. Her approach is grounded in building robust financial strategies that not only drive growth and profitability, but also empower individuals and teams to achieve their full potential. Julie is passionate about developing a workplace culture that values transparency and innovation, ensuring that all employees are aligned in working toward the company’s success, in general, and its mission to provide great service to its clients, in particular. Julie’s efforts help keep the company running smoothly as well as meeting its financial goals, and include producing required financial statements, tax matter assistance and OSHA/governmental regulation compliance.
RYAN ROBERTS, Business Development Manager
Born and raised in Truckee, Ryan joined Elements Mountain Company in 2010, initially working in snow removal and driveway sealing. Now serving as the Business Development Manager, he is focused on overall company growth and manages sales for Asphalt Sealing and Snow Removal. As a bilingual leader, Ryan ensures effective communication with Spanish-speaking crews, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency. Over the past five years, he has been instrumental in driving company growth, contributing to a 50% increase in sales revenue. Committed to exceptional service, team development, and strategic innovation, Ryan continues to enhance the company’s impact and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the community.
TODD SCHNEIDER, Defensible Space Sales Manager
As the Defensible Space Sales Manager at Elements Mountain Company, Todd leverages his extensive sales background and passion for the outdoors, with Todd’s professional tree climbing knowledge to enhance our Community’s overall fire safety. Over the past 7 years, Todd has successfully developed this department to offer residents a reliable solution for meeting HOA and Town Fire Safety Standards. His focus is on delivering personalized project management and exceptional quality, ensuring that our team stands out in the field. Todd is deeply committed to customers and their HOA’s, working collaboratively to achieve the most beneficial outcomes for their unique projects. Todd’s dedication to quality service and community safety drives every initiative, fostering a safer environment for the community at large.
Jordan Brandt, Marketing Director
With 14 years of experience working with top lifestyle brands like Nike SB, Adidas Skateboarding, Vans, and Lightning Bolt Surfing. He’s also built his own marketing business in Portland, specializing in the craft beer and spirits markets, and helped grow a Kickstarter venture into a multimillion-dollar industry-standard product. Outside of his marketing career, Jordan serves as the Executive Director of Truckee’s only locally-run sober living and substance abuse treatment facility. A dedicated martial artist, he coaches MMA fighters, competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and enjoys capturing the mountain lifestyle through photography. His diverse background and community commitment fuel his work at Element Mountain Company, where he helps simplify and enrich mountain life for all.
TATUM LEGARE, VP & Director of Client Services
As the Vice President of Elements Mountain Company, Tatum is dedicated to fostering growth and integrity within our community. Tatum is earning her Bachelor of Business Administration and Spanish Studies from Brigham Young University (BYU). She is also fluent in both Spanish and Italian, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of clientele and staff members. Born and raised in Truckee, Tatum spent the past six years immersing herself in every facet of our organization, learning the intricacies of each role from the ground up. Tatum has taken on the role of Director of Client Services bringing her excellent customer service skills to streamline, maximize and improve services for our customers across every department at Elements Mountain Company. Tatum looks forward to continuing to enhance Elements Mountain Company’s reputation as a pillar of support and service as well as our commitment to excellence.
WILLIAM ‘BJ” CARTER, Director of Operations
Born and raised in Truckee, BJ has over 14 years of experience at Elements Mountain Company and possesses a comprehensive understanding of the operational dynamics that ensure our success. His background in construction project management, all things mechanical including a large equipment operator and sales has been instrumental in assembling a dedicated team capable of tackling any challenge, regardless of the weather conditions. BJ oversees daily operations, including equipment maintenance, crew coordination and project management, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. A proactive problem solver, BJ is always striving to streamline processes and improve productivity while maintaining a positive, and productive work environment. His commitment to hard work and teamwork has not only driven our projects forward but also cultivated a strong sense of camaraderie among our team members. Together, BJ and the team are focused on delivering excellence, optimizing operations, and ensuring seamless execution across all areas of the business.
SHON SHIRRELL, Paint Department Sales Manager
With over 11 years of dedicated experience as the Sales Manager for the Paint Department at Elements Mountain Company, Shon has cultivated a strong work ethic and an eye for quality that has been instrumental in developing a talented team of professionals. Shon’s diverse background in various home services and construction trades enables him to effectively manage sales across our Paint/Stain, Restoration/Repair and Excavation Departments simultaneously. Shon is passionate about fostering a vibrant workplace environment, encouraging employees to take pride in their contributions. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration and enthusiasm, ensuring that our team not only excels in their roles, but genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. Through Shon’s commitment to excellence, he strives to create a culture where quality and teamwork thrive.
LINDSEY MERTL, Human Resources Manager
Lindsey brings over ten years of experience to Elements Mountain Company, where she excels at aligning HR strategies with business goals to boost company productivity, safety, and compliance. Lindsey administers company training, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other state/federal labor laws, policies, and procedures. In addition, she manages payroll, oversees recruitment, onboarding, and retention, and oversees company benefits programs. Lindsey is passionate about empowering team members and building strong company cultures, her strategic approach has driven both staff success and loyalty. A Truckee native, she lives locally with her husband and son, where she enjoys coaching Little League, hiking, and skiing.
