Be nice to each other! A friendly Truckee Donner Rec & Park Reminder:
We are in the full swing of summer, and with that, more people are using the Public Piers on Donner Lake. These piers are an awesome way to enjoy the lake, but we have some reminders to make sure everyone respects nature and each other while using them:
1. These piers are PUBLIC. That means that everyone has the right to use them, and nobody can reserve them.
2. Share the piers. We are all friends here, and this awesome resource should be shared with as many people as possible.
3. Unattended equipment is subject to removal.
4. Do not litter. Please respect the beautiful nature around you and pack out whatever you pack in.
5. No overnight tie-ups or camping. The piers are open from 5 AM to midnight.
Most importantly, get outside and enjoy this beautiful place we live in. After all, that is what the piers are for!
