Camp Wamp – A Summer Camp For Persons With Physical Disabilities

There’s a fantastic camp for kids with physical disabilities up on Donner Summit. Camp Wamp, whose motto is ‘It’s about what you CAN do!’, treats its disabled campers to a traditional summer camp experience like swimming, fishing, rock climbing, hiking, campfires, and skit nights.

Stephen and Elizabeth Wampler run Camp Wamp. Stephen was born with cerebral palsy but has lived an amazing and inspiring life. Stephen leads by example and teaches his campers that whether you have a disability or not, you can achieve anything you want.

Camp Wamp is always looking for campers and counselors. And, because the camp is free to campers, they always seek donations to offset the costs of operating their program. Please visit their website to learn more about Camp Wamp!
