Haakon Lang-Ree got his start with #AchieveTahoe by volunteering through some minor coercion from his sister and has risen to become the Executive Director of the organization. Following his love of the outdoors and passion for working with disabled people, Haakon moved to Truckee over 30 years ago and has been a local Tahoe Donner (TD) homeowner ever since. Though he is not the only talented person sporting the last name of Lang-Ree as you most likely recognize the name from his gold medalist wife Jen Lang-Ree.

Fun fact: we have been clearing his driveway for the entire time he has lived here, so it only made sense that Elements Mountain Company co-owner Matt Warren decided to chat with Haakon about his time here in TD, what he has been up to and why we should all make sure to enjoy some of Truckee’s finest beer for their their 2021 Foam Fest that ends on November 14. Because good beer pairs well with a great cause!

ENJOY!
