Download the CAL FIRE Ready For Wildfire App at the App Store or from Google Play;
Download CAL FIRE’S wildfire preparation brochures: Wildfire Is Coming. Are You Ready? – this Guide focuses on creating defensible space and hardening your home against wildfires; Wildfire Is Coming. Are You Set? – this Guide focuses on creating a wildfire action plan, assembling your emergency supply kit and creating a Family Communication Plan; Wildfire Is Coming. Are You Ready To Go? – this Guide focuses on  pre-evacuation preparation, detailed instructions for an evacuation and what to do if you become trapped;
Register with NIXLE – Truckee PD and Truckee FD both use Nixle public alerting system for evacuation and all emergency messaging. They send text and emails directly to your wireless or email devices during an emergency. They also send voice alerts to landlines and messages to TTY or TTD systems;
Understand Tahoe Donner’s ordinances for Fire Safety & Debris Burning;
